Safety
Part of the design that enables the Climber to handle steep and undulating terrain safely and competently is its low center of gravity. The driver is positioned directly over the cutting deck and low in the seat. Overall the design of the Climber is quite different to other mowers. It looks more like a go-cart in design than a mower, and the results of this give more stability, control and safety. In all cases personal safety is the most fundamental issue, and the Climber has been tested to mow safely up to 17 degrees across and 30 degrees up and down the slope. The Climber also features a number of safety features such as separate PTO switch so the blades don't have to be engaged when transporting the machine, and a cutoff switch if the operator comes off the seat.
Power
The Climber is capable of cutting down long grass and scrub and are capable of breaking in areas previously unmowable, up to 1 metre in height. Great on properties that are only visited irregularly.
Maneuverable
The Climber has been designed as a 2 wheel drive machine for maximum maneuvrability. The rear wheels power the Climber up the slope while features such as differential lock and the front drum brakes allows the user to manage the terrain to control descent, slipping and sledging. The Climber is very manoeuvrable on both flat areas and also on hills and cutting around trees and bushes. acceleration.
Handling
As described above, handling is very intuitive. The hydrostatic transmissions removes the need to select gears and forward, reverse and speed is controlled by one lever, positioned in a comfortable position by the operator's right hand. The steering wheel features a "broady" knob that makes steering simple and removes the effort of using two arms to turn a wheel. It also allows the user to keep one arm free to safely manage to either cutting height or power. Differential locking and the front brakes are controlled by pedals which can be depressed when the machine needs more traction. The cutting height adjustment is well positioned and as simple as choosing the required height slot.
