Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were
overall with the Oliviero Evolution, though at first we rather wondered whether
we'd been a bit too rash. In the first half hour there were olives
flying everywhere except into the net. The fault, though, I admit, was in our
technique. It didn't take us long to work out how to use it more effectively and
then it worked extremely well. On the second day my son and I managed to do
seventy trees in half a day. We'd refined the technique to raking inwards and
downwards, which minimised losses. What I particularly like about it is the lack
of noise (apart from a gentle whirring sound), and the lack of smell and fumes.
It's also very light, so that even a slightly-built person such as myself can
easily use it for several hours without tiring. Its portability is another plus
- I lent it to a colleague who pushed the battery around in a pram. Very
easy. One thing you could possibly improve is the colour of the cord. If it
were a brighter colour there would be a lesser tendency to stand on it and
impede progress, as happens with the black cord.
